Mega Projects for Antalya and Ankara
Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that the tenders for the two Mega Projects for Antalya and Ankara (Ankara-Kırıkkale-Delice Highway and the Antalya-Alanya Highway) have been conducted under the Build-Operate-Transfer Model.
In his statement, Minister Uraloğlu stated, “We have completed the tenders for the Ankara-Kırıkkale-Delice Highway and the Antalya-Alanya Highway. Both projects received significant attention from companies, indicating strong confidence in the Turkish economy.”
Minister Uraloğlu highlighted that Fernas Construction Company submitted the lowest bid for the Ankara-Kırıkkale-Delice Highway in a closed tender process, marking a significant step in its realization. He added, “Subsequently, we also conducted the tender for the Antalya-Alanya Highway, where Limak Construction Industry and Trade Inc. submitted the lowest bid. I wish both projects success and prosperity for our country.”
Total Road Length of 120 Kilometers
Describing the Ankara-Kırıkkale-Delice Highway, Minister Uraloğlu mentioned that it spans a total length of 120 kilometers. It consists of a 101-kilometer 2×3 lane highway and a 19-kilometer 2×2 lane connecting road. The project includes the construction of 7 intersections, 4 tunnels, 8 viaducts, and 3 highway service facilities.
Minister Uraloğlu emphasized the strategic importance of the Ankara-Kırıkkale-Delice Highway, stating, “Our highway project will serve as a crucial bridge between the Marmara-East Anatolia, Aegean-Black Sea, and Mediterranean-Black Sea corridors, traversing 43 provinces.”
Reducing Traffic Density and Enhancing Safety
The minister mentioned that the existing Ankara Ring Road, starting between the Karapürçek Junction and the Samsun Road Junction, will lead to Kızılcaköy and connect to the Kırıkkale-Yozgat State Road in the north of Çerikli district.
With the completion of the highway, the transportation of goods and passengers would be safer, faster, and more comfortable. The Ankara-Kırıkkale section’s traffic congestion will also be reduced. This will lead to benefits such as decreased fuel consumption, vehicle maintenance costs, and economic losses.
Antalya-Alanya Highway Tender Completed
Minister Uraloğlu also announced the completion of the tender for the Antalya-Alanya Highway. Designed to shorten travel times and provide a comfortable journey. Limak Construction Industry and Trade Inc. won the tender among three competing firms.
Providing details about the project, Minister Uraloğlu explained, “The project will start from the Serik Junction, then head eastward, following the corridor at the foothills of the Taurus Mountains within the boundaries of Serik and Manavgat districts, and conclude at the West Junction north of Konaklı.”
Total Length of 122 Kilometers for Antalya-Alanya Highway
In the Antalya-Alanya Highway Project, Minister Uraloğlu stated that there are 84 kilometers of 2×3 lane highway. He also stated that 38 kilometers of 2×2 lane connecting roads, totaling 122 kilometers. The project includes 7 intersections, 8 tunnels, and 19 viaducts, passing through the districts of Serik, Manavgat, and Alanya.
These infrastructure developments aim to enhance transportation efficiency, reduce traffic-related challenges, and contribute to the overall economic and social development.
