Foreign Investors Preferred Antalya
In Turkey, housing sales to foreigners amounted to 30,599 between January and October, with Antalya leading the way with 11,303 units sold. The sales to foreign investors experienced a 52.9% decrease in October compared to the same month the previous year, totaling 2,535 units. In October, foreign investors preferred Antalya and Alanya within the overall housing market, which was recorded at 2.7%. Antalya claimed the top spot in housing sales to foreigners, with 931 units sold.
There was an 8.7% decrease in property sales in October 2023.
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) revealed housing sales figures as of the end of October 2023. Nationwide housing sales decreased by 8.7% in October compared to the same month the previous year, reaching a total of 93,761 units. Istanbul led in housing sales with 14,941 units and a 15.9% market share. Following Istanbul, Ankara ranked second with 7,394 units and a 7.9% share, while Izmir came third with 5,192 units and a 5.5% share. The provinces with the lowest housing sales were Hakkari with 40 units, Ardahan with 43 units, and Bayburt with 80 units.

In October, Russian citizens purchased 713 homes in Turkey, followed by Iranians with 235 units, Germans with 152 units, and Ukrainians with 138 units.
After Antalya, Istanbul was the preferred choice for foreigners looking to invest in property.
Housing sales to foreigners saw a 44.4% decrease, totaling 30,599 units between January and October compared to the same period the previous year. Over the ten months, Antalya remained the most preferred city for foreign homebuyers, with 11,303 units sold, followed by Istanbul with 9,723 units and Mersin with 2,470 units.
